Have you guys noticed that June is actually over? Whoa, when days are planned and you’re trying to tick off all your action items for the day, you certainly may not realise that today is the 1st of July! We have 2 months of summer left, the 2 beautiful months, and so I thought it would be a great idea to share with you what I’m looking forward to this summer and where my focus has been lately. I hope you enjoy, and I would love to hear what are you looking forward to this summer?
Balance. I simply I love how I feel that there is balance, and both my body and mind are taken care of. That feeling when you have a great workout, take that relaxing shower, eat a freshly cooked balanced meal, and have time to read or take a course to expand your horizons. It gives me some kind of internal self-confidence, and more importantly, I have so much more energy during the day. For the past few years until this year, I have neglected myself and can’t tell exactly why. However, this year I’m motivated more than ever to keep this magnificent body and mind balance!
Pastel and Light Colours. One of the many great attributes of summer is the warm days we can enjoy and I love wearing pastel and light colours pretty much the whole season. It’s the perfect time to do it! This year is different from many others we’ve had for multiple reasons, and since I’ll continue working from home most of the time, I got a plenty of pastel T-shirts that I have featured in my summer haul of 2020. I will wear them with white jeans, shorts and skirts! So simple, elegant and beautiful!
Fruits and Berries. Isn’t it one of the best things about summer? Who doesn’t love fresh watermelon, mango, cherries, raspberries, strawberries, to name a few! I’ve been obsessed with cherries and watermelon lately, and all I ask whenever someone wants to bring something, is fresh fruit! They’re so tasty and sweet now that I eat fruits and berries all day long, especially if I have a little craving for something sweet!
Summer Trips. This year I will be a tourist in my own country! I will spend my summer here in Lithuania and I’m so surprised myself that I am so much looking forward to it! We have planned a few trips with kayaks, there are a few national parks that we want to visit, the vacation in the seaside of Lithuania, can’t wait! One of the good things about the quarantine is that I discovered how beautiful Lithuania is. I’ve been to quite a number of places in Europe and across the Atlantic Ocean (still on my list to share some places with you!), and it makes so happy that I live in such a beautiful country!
Sunshine Vitamin – D. During the colder months I take vitamin D supplement daily, but there is nothing like the SUN. Some of you may know that I have a corporate job and that means that I don’t get to enjoy sun rays much. Now, while working from home, I try to go out and enjoy direct sun for about 10 to 15 minutes a day, afterwards I will always apply SPF 20-30, because I have a very light skin, so I don’t want to take any risks with that. Let’s remember that the ‘sunshine vitamin’ is an important one, as it regulates the absorption of calcium so we have strong healthy bones, and facilitates the normal function of our immune system.
What are you looking forward to this summer? I would love to hear from you in the comments section! Have a great rest of the week my friends!
With love, Loreta
