Zen Moments #5

Welcome to the summer, All! After all, what’s been going on in the world, 2020 really has become a turbulent year, hasn’t it? Wherever you are in the world, I hope you are safe and healthy! The month of May was a pretty calm month for me, while the summer promises some adventures, so let’s see! And yes, adventures will happen in my beautiful country of Lithuania – you will soon see below how beautiful it is!

Visiting Lithunia – one of the things that surprised me in May is how green my country truly is and how many beautiful parks we have, whether it’s right outside of Vilnius, the capital, in the centre of Vilnius, or we decide to explore Lithuania and drive somewhere more far away. I believe many of us have visited their home lands much more during this period. Personally, I’m so grateful for that. Speaking about parks, I had a chance to visit Silenu Pazintinis Takas together with my colleagues from work, and I was sooo pleasantly suprised! I don’t need to say much, pictures speak for themselves. One thing I know for sure – I will be back many many times.

Cooking delicious meals – Somehow I feel that cooking has grown on me so much during the time spent at home. I now genuinely prefer my home cooked meals and have take outs only when I feel way too exhausted to be thinking about cooking. Generally, as I try to come back to my previous shape this year, I started buying more vegetables and berries, which is a good. But I’ll be honest, I haven’t made a big progress yet, and I believe partially it’s due to consuming too many calories and the second obvious part is that I lack consistency in trainings. Summer body, I’m coming for you!

Since I enjoy cooking so much now, I’ve been having my top recipes for chicken and salmon, as well as my ‘go-to’ smoothie recipe when I want a quick delicious option. Stay tuned, I plan to write the recipe for salmon, so it’s soon on the blog!

Salmon with tomatoes and spinach
Go-to smoothie: 1 banana, 1 scoop of protein, lots of spinach and some frozen berries (usually strawberries)
Me a few times a month at the shopping centre, trying to get in shape 🙂

Shopping for summer – somehow as the quarantine is ending, I felt that I need a few new items in my wardrobe, and as I used to work in the fashion industry for about 3 years, I find it relaxing to explore what is there on the market as well as what is suitable for various people based on their beautiful features. One of the items I needed was a new summer jacket and another one was a swimsuit. So, I accidentally saw the Zara jacket in the beautiful light colour on one of the ladies and went immediately to get one! You may see how it looks like on me below. I have also found a pair of high heels in a shade needed, as I have a few celebrations coming, so this was a great affordable choice.

Then, one weekend I went to our Outlet mall with a friend, and guess what, I found a few great items. The first one being a swimsuit. It is in a colour combination and pattern that is shown below (I really liked that photo that I added), only it is a two piece swimsuit and I managed to find a link to it.

Another great item is a light sweater in a pale blue shade from Audimas that looks so good with a new light coloured jacket and mom jeans. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the brand, Audimas is a Lithuanian brand that I fell in love with! Their items are so well made, the quality is great and customer service is one of the most caring I’ve ever seen. I have a few other items from Audimas and all are very much loved!

Links are provided below the items, in case you’d like to check them out!

I would love to hear from you, what was the number one highlight for you in the month of May? What is that one thing you are grateful for? Let me know in the comment section below!

To complete my Zen moments for May would like to leave you with a quote that inspired me last month:

The most wasted of days is one without laughter. E.E.Cummings
