Recipe: Salmon

I love food. I love delicious food. Love learning about food in various cultures and try new recipes at home. I believe that food plays an important role in our lives, and more so during the festive holiday season, where we all gather with our families and friends to spend time together and share a delicious meal.

Today, I would love to share with you a simple yet delicious recipe of salmon. Salmon in generally one of my go-to foods, and every time I crave something delicious and fast, salmon is on top of the list. It’s quick and easy and tastes well!

I found the recipe somewhere on the Internet. With some adjustments, I tried cooking salmon in a mustard and sour cream sauce – delicious! Let’s go!

Ingredients:

  • Salmon, 0,5 kg. – may be salmon steaks or even pieces, your preference
  • 200 g. sour cream, 35% fat
  • 200 ml. broth
  • 1 Big spoon of ‘Dijon’ mustard
  • 2 Big spoons of lemon juice
  • Pinch of sault
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Some garlic
  • Dill (fresh or spice)
  • Olive oil

Cooking:

Rub the salmon with salt, pepper, lemon juice, herbs and squeezed garlic. Grease the baking dish with olive oil and place the salmon there. Then, mix the sour cream with the broth and mustard. For a thicker sauce, you can easily also mix in a spoon of flour, however it’s not necessary. Cover the salmon with the sauce, and that’s it! Heat the oven to 190 degrees and bake for about 15-25 minutes, depending on your oven.

I served with sweet potato fries, as you can see on the picture below: I simply placed the fries below the salmon, so it cooks all together. Some fresh veggies are welcome, I love some broccoli! Tasty, healthy and quick!

Finally, you should see and taste something similar to the below! Soooo delicious!

With love, Loreta
